I like arguments that go back to the source material to remind us of things, such as Brin and Page's comment that PageRank is a <b>model</b> of user behavior. That also made me think to myself: isn't it ironic that Anderson should be arguing for the end of theory in favor of correlational statistics, when statistics itself is pretty much founded on the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_limit_theorem" rel="nofollow">Central Limit Theorem.</a> (Among many others...) Hah! That's another good rebuttal. I like arguments that go back to the source material to remind us of things, such as Brin and Page's comment that PageRank is a model of user behavior.
